Having recently moved back to our new home, my wife and I wanted to express a sincere thank you to all concerned for the work carried out in the orginal demolition and the re-building of our home.

We had a bad house fire back in August 2018. It was a very distressing experience but fortunately, W. Songhurst were selected by our insurance company to handle the building work. We couldn’t have been in better hands and feel incredibly lucky that they were recommended to us.
Chris Chittick oversaw the work and he was first rate. Always on hand, brilliant with advice, incredibly patient if we ever struggled to make a decision, hugely dedicated, he assembled a brilliant team to do the rebuilding work for us.
Andy did a wonderful job with fittings and fixtures, Neil and Spencer too with tiling and beyond, Ian with the replastering, Dave with the carpentry/woodwork, Dale with the re-plumbing, and Carl with the decorating. The list goes on. Everyone took real time and care with their work and, a year on, the work has stood up extremely well. Everything works beautifully and we’re just so relieved to be back home again, having been so brilliantly looked after by the team.
We are very grateful to Chris and his colleague, and extremely impressed by the quality of the work. We cannot recommend the firm highly enough.

Latest Projects

Windlesham

This was a property where a section of the house had been badly damaged by fire.

Once the repair works were started it became apparent that there was a lot more damage than was originally thought and so the extent of the works became much greater.

Works included – major structural work together with a partial new roof and coverings and a full refurbishment of one section of the house together with a partial refurbishment of the remainder of the property.

This was handed over to a satisfied client in 2020.
